Be-Coming

Be or do?
Be. Do to Be.
What to be?
Be Your God.
Don't like your God? - change your ideas about God.
Define God as you prefer, with all of the right attributes.
Then Be those attributes.

Know truth - what do we know? "
Law of ONE" - We are One.
The Breath is the movement/manifestation of the ONE.

Life is a metaphor - various expressions are just expressions of the ONE's variety. We can use the same ideas, processes - maybe in reverse, to make the world, life we want.

Find out what you are working with.
You are your first project. - like a living sculpture.
  What are you working with?
How do you work? - like how God made you.
What is your purpose? - You decide, but it may be to make the most beautiful sculpture.
How do you find out who and what you are?
Study - like in school. What to study? - books, I do have some suggestions, but it's up to you.
- watch for information overload though -

How to Think.
   What are you made of?
   How does energy, thought create?
   What are you thinking?
   What are your senses for?
   What are your feelings for?
   What are emotions?

How do you get things done now?
Do you assess context, or not?
What are you going to do?
Make a decision to do something.
   Do you need tools?
   Do you need skills?
Choice is one of your tools.
Choose the steps you are going to take.
Take action - if you make a wrong choice, or action, reassess - change direction.

I could give any number of metaphors, analogies or similes - sailing a boat, landscaping, writing a letter. In order to do anything, we make provisions, plans.

We use these tools, processes, skill-sets in the tasks throughout our day but very few people apply them to the greater context of our life, (e.g. health, happiness, contentment) to our family, to our community, to society, our job.

Processing is learning from our mistakes - stopping insanity - defined as: "doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results".

Whether you know it or not there is no chance - no random occurrences - the ONE is very deliberate - and You are One.

When life presents you an opportunity - take it. One way or another, then deal with the results, repercussions.

Most people live their lives without a real central purpose, or mission. They may not have really thought about it.

We have not been taught this in school or church - explicitly - maybe cryptically.
I don't think most people understand.

If Jesus is your God - Be Jesus - or if that scares you - Be LIKE Jesus. But here's a tricky thing - if you are afraid of being Jesus - why are you afraid?

Fear is not really truth - unless you decide you want that as your God - your life, your experience. If Love is your God - Be Love. Love and fear are not compatible. They can't exist in the same space without a problem arising.

Love is Truth.

Decide the course that the ship of your life is going to take. Imagine looking back at the end of your journey, your life, asking the question "what have I created?" "Am I happy with what I am looking at?"

Have I been the captain of my ship or just a coal shoveler? Do I know everything about my ship? - how it works? - what it can do? Can I fix it if it breaks?
Do you have a map to help you? A compass?, etc.
I think you get the point.
But You and Your life are much more spectacular than being a captain of a ship. You can sail a ship, drive a bus, fly an airplane, write a poem, paint a picture, play with your kids, cook dinner and make love -
- All this in just one day!

Each Now moment is another opportunity.

Do you know who and what you are?
Do you have the right skill-sets?
Do you have the tools to do what you want to do?
Do you have a plan? Is it written down - and you can always make adjustments - just like you do when you walk somewhere.

Life is about experiences. No one can judge your experiences (except you if you choose). God doesn't judge your experiences IT is experiencing them. That is your purpose - at some level, to experience stuff for God. What do you want to Share with God? What do you want to do to God? What do you want to give to God? What do you want to Be for God?

If you really aspire those things to happen then stop "wanting" and Be those things, in your mind (in actuality you already ARE those things you just don't re-member, yet) and after you Believe you can Be that then you will begin to do those things. And the great thing is, if you don't get it right, then you can try again, and again, and again, and again ad infinitum.

And another great thing is that during that process you can be learning and experiencing a whole lot of stuff. Which will grow your character which is another purpose of life.
Then as you continue to Be like the God you believe your God to Be you will continue on this fantastic journey, moment by moment, experience by experience to Be that God that you believe your God to Be. In truth you already are that God - even though you might not know or believe.

So, how are you gonna Be You today?

Ancillary quotes:

"To Be or not to Be, that is the question" Shakespeare

"God is either everything or he is nothing" Alcoholics Anonymous - my answer - both, and neither.

"We thus have the Mandukya Upanishad that explains the paradox that Brahman is all and Brahman is nothing or no-thing" (1)

"But the nearest conception of Brahman we can have is to say that it is a state of consciousness beyond time when SAT, CIT and ANANDA, Being and Consciousness and Joy are ONE. (2)

"As Atman, the Self in each one of us and in all is Brahman, God the Highest in us and in all we might say that the problem of the moral law in the Upanishads is solved by fulfilling the words of Shakespeare in Hamlet. For 'self', however, we should understand 'Self'.
"This above all - to thine own self be true. And it must follow, as the night the day. Thou canst then be false false to anyone". (3)

"It will be seen that the lofty doctrines of the Upanishads are doctrines for the few: the Himalayas of the Soul are not for all. Men want a simple concrete God, or even a graven image of a god. They want a rule of life, and above all they want love. The later seers of the Upanishads saw this and in the Isa Upanishad we have ideas that we also find in the Bhagavad Gita Because of its importance it should be quoted in full:

Behold the Universe in the glory of God: and in all that lives and moves on earth. Leaving the transient, find joy in the External: set not your heart on another's possession.
Working thus, a man may wish for a life of a hundred years. Only actions done in God bind not the soul of man.
There are demon-haunted worlds, regions of utter darkness. Whoever in life rejects the Spirit goes to that darkness after death.
The Spirit, without moving, is swifter than the mind; the senses cannot reach Him: He is ever beyond them. Standing still, He overtakes those who run. To the ocean of His being the spirit of life leads the streams of action.
He moves, and He moves not. He is far, and He is near. He is within all, and He is outside all.
Who sees all beings in his own Self, and his own Self in all beings, loses all fear.
When a sage sees this great Unity and his Self has become all beings, what delusion and what sorrow can ever be near him?
The Spirit filled all with His radiance. He is incorporeal and invulnerable, pure and untouched by evil. He is the supreme seer and thinker, immanent and transcendent. He placed all things in the path of Eternity.
Into deep darkness fall those who follow action. Into deeper darkness fall those who follow knowledge.
One is the outcome of knowledge, and another is the outcome of action. Thus have we heard from the ancient sages who explained this truth to us.
He who knows both knowledge and action, with action overcomes death and with knowledge reaches immortality.
Into deep darkness fall those who follow the immanent. Into deeper darkness fall those who follow the transcendent.
One is the outcome of the transcendent and another is the outcome of the immanent. Thus have we heard from the ancient sages who explained this truth to us.
He who knows both the transcendent and the immanent, with the immanent overcome death and with the transcendent reaches immortality.
The face of truth remains hidden behind a circle of gold. Unveil it, O god of light, that I who love the true may see!
O life-giving sun, offspring of the Lord of creation, solitary seer of heaven I Spread thy light and withdraw thy blinding splendor that I may behold thy radiant form: that Spirit far away within thee is my own inmost Spirit.
May life go to immortal life, and the body go to ashes. O.M. O my soul, remember past strivings, remember! O my soul, remember past strivings, remember!
By the path of good lead us to final bliss, O fire divine, thou god who knowest all ways. Deliver us from wandering evil. Prayers and adoration we offer unto thee. (4)

Eye Am Sharing

Eye Am Sharing

- Love Transcends

- "The Breath" is the Key, (Conscious Deep Breathing) The Practice (free Global Citizenship Passport)

- Intuition (the best book on this is "Living in the Light: a Guide to Personal and Planetary Transformation" by Shakti Gawain

- Actions guided by the Golden Law

- The Process of Creation, how it occurs, how Spirit creates (this is your life, whether you can see it or not). This little video provides insights and awareness of how life, as we know it came to be. You are consciousness. Consciousness creates in this way. The experiences that you have are related to the ideas, beliefs and experiences that you take with you as you move into new spaces and places.

- Freeing oneself from the challenges typically associated with money. Here is a very nice 8 minute meditation "Reconnecting with the Spirit of Money".

We are experiencers/creators.

You should ask yourSelf the question, "What do you really want?". and this is not your little self, but your true Self,

When you find "this key", the love in your heart, via the Breath, then you must find others to share the experience with. Assist them to find the treasure locked in their heart (kind of like a reverse "Pandora's Box).

Like this song, about life "Went to a Garden Party", every moment is a new moment to share. If we learn to follow our intuition, we will learn that when we "please ourSelf", our higher intuitive Self, to follow its guidance, we become part of the Divine, Harmonic symphonic orchestration, because Love is Guiding us. Whether we are aware or not.

Finally, to catalyze this process, I feel that Gaia, the Spirit of Mother Earth is pouring Love onto us in ways that we cannot imagine. So, connecting with this beautiful, sustaining Spirit will assist us to arrive at our desired, dreamed of destination, but the point is to enjoy the journey, moment to moment. Gaia's Message to Me

To find the peace within you, go within, and learn the truth of who you are. Peace Making

Do Good

Complicity with “the devil” to take care of “our own” is not acceptable in the Christ consciousness. This goes for the entire world. Corporations, who claim rights of individuals, do not have a soul created in the beginning by the One Infinite Creator. Thus, the collective responsibility and “soul-ness”, if such exists, is distributed throughout the entire organization of people. No one can escape the karmic responsibility they incur by accepting and continuing to work for entities that do harm to people or nature. If we truly want to change the world, we must eliminate this concept that the responsibility for wrong actions somehow falls through the cracks in the gyrations and legal shenanigans and elaborations. We may think we are fooling someone, but we aren’t. We know – in our hearts. Divine Law does not allow for escaping the realities of the consequences of our actions, this is covered by both the Law of Cause and Effect and the Golden Law. It is time we stand up and face this “real reality” and know that the Kingdom of God, Paradise, Nirvana is simply waiting on the other side of a door when we recognize that our job is to re-present our knowing that what we do, and what those that we are affiliated with, we have responsibility for. It is time to step forward and face the truth, that we cannot escape the truth. Our actions have repercussions. However, we need not be afraid, for clemency (forgiveness) is always available when we decide to alter our course and decide to contribute to unification, peace, love and abundance and accept the glories and wonders that are anxiously awaiting to pour down on us as soon as we courageously face the fear of change – not just accepting the way things are, and simply saying, as one common voice, "enough is enough". We will be astounded at the rapidity of the transformation and transmutation as we release the energies the Divine has been building up behind the world’s people’s desire for things to improve for all. We have just been afraid whether or not our families will be taken care of. There are no “buts” in this process. It is either “Do Good” or perish in the fires of conformity and acceptance of less than the best – the quagmire of mediocrity. These doldrums, the human tendency to think we can escape from ourselves, each other, and the Laws of the Cosmos have come to an end. It is now time to step up to the plate and represent our knowing that we truly are expressions of Love, and as such need to embrace the opportunities, that are abundant beyond our comprehension, to make a shift in our actions at all levels. When a large enough group of individuals make a conscious decision we will be astounded at the rapidity of the shift (I am sure it is already occurring), and then we will enter the true glory of what it means to be a Divine Creation.

Realization of Self Love

This is a very personal description of a great discovery about self-love and the teachings of Jesus and the ten commandments.

About twelve years ago (1997), I was recovering from divorce. It turned out to be one of the most challenging times in my life. This process literally took years. I am not sure why I drug it out so long, but that was just the process. I mostly felt myself to have been a failure as a father. Not upholding the social agreement of marriage, mostly for the sake of my son.

I struggled a great deal financially, probably a form of self punishment. I also had periods of deep sorrow- even so far as contemplating the end of my life. I never went so far to actually do anything, just going to that place of desperate resignation. The most profound of these times I actually went to the place of no feelings. Ambivalence, numbness, not caring. That I discovered is a much more desperate and dangerous place than anger or depression.

When I was at the lowest place I was in my apartment and I picked up the Bible. Now, I have never read the Bible to any great extent. I have tried a number of times, but found the language difficult to comprehend. Plus I have come to believe that much of the greatest truths to have been culled out. However, I still believe that it is filled with great wisdom and truth, it is just difficult for me to decipher what might have been added or deleted. Not the best use of my time, this is my opinion.

However, on this occasion I opened up the book at random, dropped my finger on the passage where the disciples are asking Jesus to speak on the commandments, I remember reading "and what of the ten commandments"? And Jesus's response, in my recollection "There are only two. Love God with all your being. And Love your neighbor as yourself".

Reading this caused great realizations for me, and insights on my perspectives on love of self, and also my access to the love of God. You see, I read in that passage in the Bible, having a scientific mind, a case of deductive reasoning. The bottom line, or the basic challenge of Jesus' message relates to Self love. The deduction, or the leap of reasoning comes because he did not mention three points - 1) Love God, 2) Love Yourself, and 3) Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. The second step in this reasoning is missing.

Why? I assume that Jesus "assumed" that we would love ourselves. But is this the case in our world? I think mostly not. For many reasons - one is that it has become "tabu" in many ways to "Love ourselves" (e.g. narcissism, arrogance, selfishness).

However, as I have since discovered, if I don't harbor Love in my heart for myself, how can I truly Love others? And I am not talking about "selfish" love. I'm talking about the Love for God and for all others. For if I truly Love Andy in the true sense of Love then I do not have to worry about selfish love. My brother-in-law many years ago (1981) confronted me on this. I think I said something him to about loving my girlfriend more than I loved myself. And he replied, "Andy how can you expect others to Love you, if you don't Love yourself?" This I have realized over the years is one of the most powerful questions a person can ask - either of themselves, or of a dear one.

This reverie from the quote from Jesus made me think why I might have arrived at the point of not Loving myself. I thought that it probably had something to do with pain - and pain being a sign of being excluded from God's Love, which to me is the greatest fear. Much greater than the fear of death. (a little digression, imagine the world of people living day to day their greatest fear as their truth!)

I thought back to my first unconscious "comprehension" of God - which would have been my parents. They were bigger than me, took care of all my needs, protected me, loved me. But did they love me when they punished me? I think I came to understand/feel that when I did "bad", I was being excluded from Love. When I felt pain, either external or internal, I began to separate myself from Love. I began to believe that I could actually do something and become un-Lovable. A ridiculous notion as I understand today, but for most of my life I believed, I felt this. As my friend Tom says "little Andy", had programmed this idea into the very core of my being. This is the idea that the church has placed on us. The idea of "original sin", or at least the way that I interpreted it. And, if I look at many people in the world, I think others believe it too.

In any case, I examined this idea of doing things, and being "out of Love". And it explained my behaviors. You see, once I was out of Love, or had excluded myself consciously, it doesn't matter. Bad in degrees is immaterial. And, because of the internal pain, the need to blot it out became more and more necessary. Thus, in my case, I turned to drugs and alcohol as a young person. However, at the time of this experience reading the Bible, in 1997, I had been 16 year sober.

I think I somehow got the idea or belief that if I felt pain, I wasn't being Loved. Of course it started with my parents, but then I think it extended to God, and of course to everyone. Because, how or why would I feel pain (which is "bad") if I was Loved?

Pain is a sign of being a "sinner" and "sinners" can't be Loved by God, right? Because we have to become an "un-sinner" for God to really Love us, right? We have to become totally clean to be accepted into the Love of God. And this only happens when you "do something", and are transformed into being "white as snow". But if I feel pain inside, then I feel that I am the same. I know that this is not the case, and this seems like a very childish way of understanding. However, I think this childish "program" was actually running in my life - it explained my behaviors.

In truth, I do not think God condemns. It is a man made construct, like so many other concepts that have imprisoned us - but these are OK, because there is a purpose to all.

I also realized at this moment that pain is not "bad". It is merely an aspect on a continuum. And, in actuality, it can be very, very good. In fact, it was deep and desperate pain that lead me to "no pain", no cares, no feeling which was the stimulus for all of these epiphanies about "Self Love". And in that moment, and in previous moments, I realized that "pain" can be exquisite. And then I wasn't sitting in judgment about my feelings, about my actions, which would result in me being excluded from God's Love, which is not possible.

Whether I consciously bought into the idea of "sin" and condemnation, I think at some level I believed that I had done things that had placed me out of God's Love. Divorce.

Abandoning my son (this was my "programmed" belief). Having a tendency to be somewhat of a "womanizer". But this actually tied to my own condemnation of myself. It became a self fulfilling prophecy. It was like, OK, I'm already a "screw-up" (a sinner) so fuck it! And I had come to believe that I was the kind of person to do those things. So, if I believe myself to be that kind of person, how could I do anything else? But in reality all I was doing in that process was trying to find love. Love from others. Love to fill the void in me. But no other person can ever fill that void. Because that was a void created by my lack of Love for my Self.

And I think Loving my Self first is actually one of the most gracious things that I could ever do. I am God's first gift to me. To my person. This physical, spiritual and intellectual being was God's gift to me first. And from there, all other expressions arise, at least in my conscious experience.

I realized this in another way a few years ago when I heard the song by Bad Company "Feel like making Love". I realized that we are supposed to be "Love factories". But how could I generate Love if I don't have the first ingredient - Love for the being, the gift that God gave me - me, myself and I. Isn't it a tremendous lack of gratitude to not love what God gave me, first?

Through all of this thinking I realized that "Self love" was to "Love God with All My Being" - and that if I could accomplish Self Love in the most pure and profound way, then "Love Others as Your Self" would flow naturally and effortlessly. That was the "missing deduction" in Jesus's statement about there only being two commandments.

I also realized that maybe, these feelings, were God experiencing itself through me. I imagined my joys, sorrows, and the agelessness of the feelings. I imagined how my body, and my mind seem to age, but my feelings don't. I thought of the loves and deepness of those profound feelings that I had experienced in my life and felt that that truly was a God living through me. And those forces are the ones that have motivated me, truly to seek Love with all my being. To be Love in all ways that I can.

So what next? Forgiveness. Yes, but if God doesn't condemn why would I need forgiveness?

I don't really know, but for me at that (and this) moment, the forgiveness was to know that God's Love was immediately available to me - all-ways, always. It happened to me long ago when I realized my life was in the "shitter", I was a drunk and a junkie, mostly because of my dishonesty with myself. When I had this realization that dishonesty had created my twisted little life, and admitted I was lying, and committed to take a different path, and said the prayer "God help me". My life began to be totally different.

All I had to do, I guess, was to accept the Love to flow. It was there waiting. I didn't grow any new Love acceptance organs.

Oh, you may be thinking, why do I say that God doesn't judge - well for me, it's about Love. Love Loves it doesn't judge. And if God is Love then God doesn't judge. God just Loves.

So what I had to do at that moment was look at Andy, and see him for who he was, and just appreciate that he never meant to hurt anyone - on purpose. That many times he was confused, and did things that resulted in apparent "problems" but that those really don't matter to Love. That no matter what I think that I do that is bad, and no matter how bad I might feel, I am always Loved by God. Period. There is no way out of it. It is everywhere and always.

And today, I have learned more and more about my feelings and their connection to the Divine. That they are actually the "program" the "guidance system" that I was given in order to know how to avoid doing the things that were contrary to my, and others, best interest. But I didn't learn this until about 2 years ago.

Questioning Beliefs

Why?
Why not?
Are they yours?
Who came up with them?
Do you really believe they´re true?
Do you know where they came from?
Who do they serve?
Do they make you happy?

It is strange to me sometimes when I hear people say things like "war will always exist".
How do they know this? Why would they give their energy to such a belief?

Are we learning from our mistakes?

Evaluation, assessment, contemplation, processing is a matter of looking at our experiences and finding out if we might want to change something. I have looked at civilization and wondered why haven´t we ever gone back to the drawing board to start over. It seems, collectively, we never make an assessment and re-design our approach to things. We just go forward, pall mall, it seems blindly, without really looking at things and asking the question - is this working?

This is one of the most important factors when designing anything (a piece of furniture, a car, a essay, a project) - evaluation. We do this when we are walking - look out for obstacles, alter our route to avoid trees, etc. But do we do this with societies?

Or maybe we like, prefer, desire, things like conflict, strife, people not having enough food, seeing people being killed, not being able to drink out of the river like I suppose we could do at one time in the not-too-distant past.

I don´t think we really prefer these things. I suspect we are just caught up in the idea of history repeating itself - that life is constituted by "our" beliefs - which were created by other people, or someone, likely long ago. Maybe these people were really stupid - or mean.

Am I really my name? or my ID number? or the job that I hold, or the amount of money that I have in the bank?

Where did all these ideas come from? Do I agree with them?
Do they serve a greater good?
Do I want my children to carry on, along the same lines?
Am I happy with the results?
Could things be different? - better?
Does the past actually exist?
Who came up with the idea of guilt?
Do we really need money?
Could we make the world peaceful?
Could we feed, house and clothe everyone?
Who has the power here?
Who have I been following? Why?

I don´t know. These are some of the questions that I Am asking, some for a very long time. Mostly in my head. But today I have decided to share these questions. Maybe you have wondered too? What if we got together?

Socrates asked questions. That, I think, is how he figured so many things out. He believed that we don´t learn things, but that we actually remember. This really makes sense if you put it in the context of there being only One thing (God, creation, existence, or whatever you might believe). This idea is contained throughout most ancient teachings about who and what we are. Where we came from. Where we are going. If there is One thing - it would know everything, right - we have just forgotten.

In asking these question I have discovered a great many things. Like, I am very powerful. What I am thinking is very important. That I am always being guided. Love is the truth.

What would love do?
How would I prefer to be treated?
Is cause and effect real?
If I do something to someone else, what happens?
What can I do?
What can I share?
Can I make a difference?

The surprising thing is that living in this mystery, this place of being open to new answers, new beliefs, new possibilities is quite interesting, and exciting. I never know what to expect next - what new information might come in.

And, it seems, as long as I continue to guide my questions, actions and beliefs by the truth of love, it keeps getting better and better.

13 Verses, and Chapter 13 of the Bhagavad Gita

For some strange reason I felt compelled to extract all of the 13th verses from the Bhagavad Gita. This book came to me, from a friend, totally out of nowhere - in a Spanish speaking country. I am on about my 6th reading. I have felt from the beginning that the 13th Chapter is the most comprehensive and descriptive of the relationship between the ONE and our human experience.

I am just sharing this here because I continue to get evidence that 13 is a very powerful number. Maybe there is some greater weaving of truth from this idea. Otherwise, I guess just because it came to me to do, so I could inculcate the truth of this ancient wisdom more deeply. With Love - Andy

The Bhagavad Gita Translated from the Sanskrit with an introduction by Juan Mascaró, Penguin Classics, 1962.

Krishna speaks to Arjuna on the field of Battle

1:13 Then the rumbling of war drums, the stirring sound of cymbals and trumpets, and the roaring of conch-shells and horns filled the sky with a fearful thunder.

2:13 As the spirit of our mortal body wanders on in childhood, and youth and old age, the Spirit wanders on to a new body of this the sage has no doubts.

3:13 Holy men who take as food the remains of sacrifice become free from all their sins; but the unholy who have feasts for themselves eat food that is in truth sin.

4:14 The four orders of men arose from me, in justice to their natures and their works. Know that this work was mine, though I am beyond work, in Eternity.

5:13 The ruler of his soul surrenders in mind all work, and rests in the joy of quietness in the castle of nine gates of his body: he neither does selfish work nor causes others to do it.

6:13 With upright body, head, and neck, which rest still and move not; with inner gaze which is not restless, but rests still between the eye-brows;

7:13 How the whole world is under the delusion of these shadows of the soul, and knows not me though forever I am!

8:13 And remembering me he utters OM, the eternal WORD of Brahman, he goes to the Path Supreme.

9:13 But there are some great souls who know me: their refuge is my own divine nature. They love me with one-ness of love: they know that I am the source of all.

Arjuna – 10:13 Thus all the seers praised thee: the seer divine Narada; Asita, Devala and Vyasa. And this is now thy revelation.

Sanjaya – 11:13 And Arjuna saw in that radiance the whole universe in its variety, standing in a vast unity in the body of the God of gods.

Krishna – 12:13 The man who has a good will for all, who is. Friendly and has compassion; who has no thoughts of “I” or “mine”, whose peace is the same in pleasures and sorrows, and who is forgiving;

13:13 His hands and feet are everywhere, he has heads and mouths everywhere: he sees all, he hears all. He is in all, and he is.

14:13 Darkness, inertia, negligence, delusion – these appear when Tamas prevails.

15:13 I come into the earth and with life-giving love I support all things on earth. And I become the scent and taste of the sacred plant Soma, which is the wandering moon.

16:13 “I have gained this today, and I shall attain this desire. This wealth is mine, and that shall also be mine”

17:13 And a sacrifice done against the holy law, without faith, and sacred words, and the gifts of food, and the due offering, is a sacrifice of darkness.

18:13 Know now from me, Arjuna, the five causes of all actions as given in the Sankhya wisdom, wherein is found the end of all works.

Chapter 13 in total

Krishna

1 This body, Arjuna, is called the field. He who knows this is called the knower of the field.

2 Know that I am the knower in all the fields of my creation; and that the wisdom which sees the field and the knower of the field is true wisdom.

3 Hear from me briefly what the field is and how it is, what its changes are and whence each one comes; who is the knower and what is his power.

4 This has been sung by seers of the Vedas in many musical measures of verse; and in great words about Brahman, words of faith and full of truth.

5 The five elements, the thought of “I”, consciousness, sub-consciousness, the five powers of feeling, and the five of action, the one mind over them, the five fields of sense perception;

6 Desire, aversion, pleasure, pain, the power of mental unification, intelligence, and courage: this is the field and its modifications.

7 Humbleness, sincerity, harmlessness, forgiveness, uprightness, devotion to the spiritual master, purity, steadiness, self-harmony;

8 Freedom from the lust of the senses, absence of the thought of “I”, perception of the sorrows of birth, death, old age, disease and suffering.

9 Freedom from the chains of attachments, even from a selfish attachment to one´s children, wife, or home; an ever-present eveness of mind in pleasant or unpleasant events;

10 A single oneness of pure love, of never-straying love for me; retiring to solitary places, and avoiding the noisy multitudes:

11 A constant yearning to know the Inner Spirit, and a vision of Truth which gives liberation: this is true wisdom leading to vision. All against this is ignorance.

12 Now I shall tell the of the End of wisdom. When a man knows this he goes beyond death. It is Brahman, beginingless, supreme: beyond what is and beyond what is not.

13 His hands and feet are everywhere, he has heads and mouths everywhere: he sees all, he hears all. He is in all, and he is.

14 the Light of consciousness comes to him through infinite powers of perception, and yet he is above all these powers. He is beyond all, and yet he supports all. His beyond the world of matter, and yet he has joy in this world.

15 He is invisible: he cannot be seen. He is far and he is near, he moves and he moves not, he is within all and he is outside all.

16 He is ONE in all, but it seems as if he were many. He supports all beings: from him comes destruction, and from him comes creation.

17 He is the Light of all lights which shines beyond all darkness. It is vision, the end of vision, to be reached by vision, dwelling in the heart of all.

18 I have told thee briefly what is the field, what is wisdom, and what is the End of man´s vision. When a man knows this he enters into my Being.

19 Know that Prakriti, Nature, and Purusha, Spirit are both without beginning, and that temporal changes and Gunas conditions, come all from nature.

20 Nature is the source of all material things: the maker, the means of making, and the thing made. Spirit is the source of all consciousness which feels pleasure and feels pain.

21 The spirit of man when in nature feels the ever-changing conditions of nature. When he binds himself to things ever-changing, a good or evil fate whirls him round through life-in-death.

22 But the Spirit Supreme in man is beyond fate. He watches, gives blessing, bears all, feels all. He is called the Lord Supreme and the Supreme Soul.

23 He who knows in truth this Spirit and knows nature with its changing conditions, wherever this man may be he is no more whirled round by fate.

24 Some by the Yoga of meditation, and by the grace of the Spirit, see the Spirit in themselves; some by the Yoga of the vision of Truth; and others by the Yoga of work.

25 And yet there are others who do not know, but they hear from others and adore. They also cross beyond death, because of their devotion to words of Truth.

26 Whatever is born, Arjuna, whether it moves of it moves not, know that it comes from the union of the field and the knower of the field.

27 He who sees that the Lord of all is ever the same in all that is, immortal in the field of mortality – he sees the truth.

28 And when a man sees that the God in himself is the same God in all that is, he hurts not himself by hurting others: then he goes indeed to the highest Path.

29 He who sees that all work, everywhere, is only the work of nature; and that the Spirit watches this work – he sees the truth.

30 When a man sees that the infinity of various beings is abiding in the ONE, and is an evolution from the ONE, then he becomes one with Brahman.

31 Beginningless and free from changing conditions, imperishable is the Spirit Supreme. Though he is in the body, not his is the work of the body, and he is pure from the imperfection of all work.

32 Just as the omnipresent ether is pure because intangible, so the Spirit dwelling in matter is pure from the touch of matter.

33 And even as one sun gives light to all things in this world, so the Lord of the field gives light to all his field.

34 Those who with the eye of inner vision see the distinction between the field and the know of the field, and see the liberation of spirit from matter, they go into the supreme.

Preparation for Re-Creation

This essay is included in the Introduction to my book "Vision - We are Re-Creating the World", which outlines a variety of strategies for revitalization of regions and empowerment of individuals, stimulated through grass-roots initiatives and the utilization of technologies but protecting the natural environment.

Preparation for Re-Creation
I don´t think it is any mistake that we call our leisure time recreation, “re-creation”. The way that we come to transform our lives is through fun, laughter, enjoyment. We have become as adults to take things so seriously. But the Truth is that the pleasure of existence and experience is our greater purpose. The serious issues are just a story. A fabrication.

We have an opportunity to re-create the world. And we do that with our relationship with the “present”. Do you think it is just coincidence that these words that are used for these things? “Recreation”, “Present”. And we are not supposed to spend the majority of our time serious, stodgy, miserable to get a few moments of joy or a week or two per year of paid vacation. Jesus said we will BE in the new earth if we become like children again. This is partially what it means to be “born again”.

What if we could start all over again, creating the world of our dreams?

Experience is a pointer, something to be learned from. Don´t regret mistakes, take them as lessons learned.

No regrets! Guilt from past events is a prison.

Have Fun!!!!
Be like a child!
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:1

“Let me spring up from the ashes of your ignorance like the flame that burned brightly in the simplicity of your childhood. Look to the bible of love, my living presence in your heart, rather than to the wordy debates of little minds on the written word of old.” – Ken Carey, Starseed Transmissions.

“All who receive their impressions of the world as a small child receives them, without judgment, with love and acceptance, will receive my awareness. And all who receive me, receive as well, the consciousness of the one who sent me, the consciousness of the Creator himself. This is the greatest gift.”
Carey, Starseed Transmissions. p. 83

“I will come to you first with the consciousness of a child, for it is thus that you will learn again of your world. Whoever receives this child-consciousness for my sake, will receive he who has sent me later when the child is grown in spirit. Receive as little children and enter my life.”
Carey, Starseed Transmissions.

Being vs Doing

This book gives a plethora of ideas that show different ways that we can come together and “Be the change you want to see in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi), but it starts with you.

This book is the result of experiential education. Extension education, which you will learn more about later in this book, has the motto “Learning by doing”. This is a wonderful idea and really is a better model for education than sitting in a classroom learning from books about obscure topics. But I had a realization while preparing this Prelude.

I think we have gotten the cart before the horse in much of our philosophies and understandings. Before we can “Do”, upon an adequate basis, we have to know who we are and how to “BE”. Thus, a new learning model might be “Being” then “Doing”.

We´ve somehow gotten to the place where “doing” has taken the place of “being”. It´s kind of like running around in a hamster wheel. What are we really doing with all of this work we are doing? Have you ever thought about your work? Who benefits? Does it make you happy? Are there negative repercussions? Do you experience joy with your work? Do you feel alive?

Then the important question arises, how can you “BE” if you don´t know who or what you are? By the way, you are not your name, nor your job title, nor even a human – we made all this stuff up, these are just words, and you are more than a word, and even the ideas of these things are minuscule compared to who and what we really are.

We are limited by our thoughts. We can only go as high as our beliefs about ourselves allow. Our fears, thoughts, beliefs are like the walls of the building that we exist within. If we are to experience a new life, or re-create the world we have to start here.

"Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think."
Benjamin Disraeli
1804-1881, British Prime Minister

“I am not doing any work”, thinks the man who is in harmony, who sees the truth. For in seeing or hearing, smelling or touching, in eating or walking, or sleeping, or breathing, in talking or grasping or relaxing, and even in opening or closing his eyes, he remembers: “It is the servants of my soul that are working”,
Bhagavad Gita 5: 8, 9.

Know Thyself
Gnothi Seauton—"Know Thyself". These words were inscribed above the entrance to the temple of Apollo at Delphi, site of the sacred Oracle.

The first Thinking Rule from “When Love Guides Your Thoughts” is “Know Thyself”. This would merge nicely with Shakespeare´s famous quote “To thine own self be true”. But do we really know who and what we are? That is an important part of this process, as preparation for this book. We have to be willing to ask the big questions, and really desire to get the answers.

One, truth, that is at least relative to this planet, is that human beings are not a separate organism from the Earth. If you think this is the case consider this. If you went out in space, without a space suit or ship, how long do you think you would survive?

And it is up to each individual to go on this discovery process themselves. A few books to help in the process have been recommended to achieve that end, but these are just suggestions, there are innumerable sources that will help people find their way along this path. One way to describe this path is the pursuit of “Truth”. The following provides an introduction to possibly the most important process that we could ever endeavor upon, to discover who and what we are, and to learn how to think.

“Only if you know who you are, your biases, etc., can you apply equal emphasis in an opposite direction when you know you are dealing with an area you tend to be biased in so that a balanced perspective can be attained. But this is only a temporary solution, you must rid yourself of all biases, prejudices, complexes, and emotionally immature motivations. You did not get the way you are in a single day, nor can you undo the person you are in a single day. Nevertheless you can get where you want to go much quicker if you know where you want to go and are not hindered by false conceptions of the world. Your life thinking up to now has been mostly haphazard and undirected. Start directing your thoughts toward the person you wish to be and you will see as the years pass you have become that person. You are what you think. The cumulative effort is great but the rewards are even greater. I say with the greatest intensity of my being that it is well worth the effort to know thyself.”
Skadberg, When Love Guides Your Thoughts p. 25
Thinking Rule #I. To think correctly the first step is to KNOW THYSELF (44).

The Truth
“It is the author’s very careful observation that only if the Will has as its desire to see the truth above all, can the intelligence of man be used properly.”

After this, and this applies to this book because I have claimed many of the ideas to be based on “common sense”, we move into the area of how we begin to live this process of seeking the truth.

“The above explains the phenomena of common sense. Common sense is intellectually understood by all but the most dense. Yet very few are able to use that common sense because they must make it seep through the subconscious or change the Will in order for it to have any effect. This occurs when a man has chosen as his Will to know the truth above all. Then to understand common sense and apply such is child’s play. To quit smoking can be done overnight, but only if the Will is properly oriented.”

“The Will and ego can be compared to a shark which knowing what it wants will stop at nothing to get it. It has no sophisticated reasoning powers, only crude desire. The sad part of all of this is that if the Will would allow itself to be ruled by the intellect it would in fact get much more gratification than otherwise. It really is in the best interest of the Will to submit to discipline and order so that the whole body can enjoy the benefits of stopping harmful habits. By acting upon common sense and from the higher perspective of restraint, now new possibilities arise heretofore that were not able to be seen. But alas, the Will requires great efforts to tame, but the rewards of such are also great.

Thinking Rule #2. Unless the Will has as its most important desire the desire to know truth above all, then all observances will have as the prime motive the self-gratification of the Will, which always leads to distortions of facts.”
Skadberg, “When Love Guides Your Thoughts”

Another truth, beyond being connected to Mother Earth, we are a collective being. The extent of this really boggles the mind. But for our purposes, and for the context of this book, this relates to humans on this world. In our current status, the following quote points to our collective state of being, but then also points to the only true solution to our dilemma.

“Mankind is like an intelligent beast spiritually undeveloped. Because the intelligence is not balanced by LOVE insanity prevails.”
Skadberg, “When Love Guides Your Thoughts”

Coping with insanity only requires one thing.

“The only really sure way to avoid insanity is to cultivate your LOVE. LOVE in its deeper sense. Related to love you have for a child, a puppy, or flower, or magnificent sunset, remember a time in your life when you were filled with your highest ever aspirations, or your greatest happiness, a moment when life was most wonderful when you were like superman because of your happiness, think of these when you seem defeated. There is no failure, there is only learning, correcting miscalculations. Believe like Abraham Lincoln “I will work, and when I am ready, my time will come.” There is not one of you who cannot make the world better in some way.”
Skadberg, “When Love Guides Your Thoughts”
“He who sees that all work, everywhere, is only the work of nature; and that the Spirit watches this work—he sees the truth.”
Bhagavad Gita 13: 29.

Tap into the Now!

Our lives, and thus the world, change when we step outside of the past and avoid venturing into the future where we really have no business. We live now. We can take all of the lessons learned, from our past experiences, without the drama, trauma, and emotional baggage and they can help guide us, to learn from our “mistakes”, which really don´t exist except to lead us away from the experiences that we might want to avoid. It happens on an individual and collective basis. But we have to share the joy with others.

The Now is where we exist and can tap into the power behind All That Is.

“The most important, the primordial relationship in your life is your relationship with the Now, or rather with whatever form the Now takes, that is to say, what is or what happens. If your relationship with the Now is dysfunctional, that dysfunction will be reflected in every relationship and every situation you encounter.”
Tolle, The New Earth p. 200

“It has been said: “Stillness is the language God speaks, and everything else is a bad translation.” Stillness is really another word for space. Becoming conscious of stillness whenever we encounter it in our lives will connect us with the formless and timeless dimension within ourselves, that which is beyond thought, beyond ego. It may be the stillness that pervades the world of nature, or the stillness in your room in the early hours of the morning, or the silent gap between sounds. Stillness has no form—that is why through thinking we cannot become aware of it. Thought is form. Being aware of stillness means to be still. To be still is to be conscious without thought.”
Tolle, A New Earth p. 256

As a preparation for making the most of this book (reference to VISION: We ARE Re-Creating the World, by Andrew Skadberg), and its suggestions I have one recommendation. Spend enough time in nature for it to touch you. At first it might seem boring but that is because most of us are over stimulated, or addicted to “doing” – whether it be watching TV, shopping, working, spending time on the computer, etc., etc.

There is a lot going on in nature but you have to quiet down enough to appreciate.

Finally, a quote that points to the truth of what can be discovered as one communes with the most clear, or unclouded for most people, expression of the One—Nature.

“In times when fear patterns predominate, the laws that humans require are many and complex. But when those patterns are broken up, as is shortly to be, all human laws shall be abolished. In the presence of my spirit, there is but one law, and that is the law of love; love all, love what is, love yourself as you are, and love me as I express through you. No matter how diverse expressions appear to be, realize that they are all differentiations of your own essence in various contexts. Love them all. See the unity of life.”

“The law of love is more than a law, it is the way of life. What do you think causes the sprouts in the spring? What do you think brings fruit to the branch? It is all love, all life, calling out the potential of this planet. Be in and of this love, and the many confusing laws of old will be absorbed in the glorious expression of life on Earth.”
Carey, Starseed Transmissions

“Collective human consciousness and life on our planet are intrinsically connected. “A new heaven” is the emergence of a transformed state of human consciousness, and “a new earth” is its reflection in the physical realm. Since human life and human consciousness are intrinsically one with the life of the planet, as the old consciousness dissolves, these are bound to be synchronistic geographic and climatic natural upheavals in many parts of the planet, some which we are already witnessing now." – Tolle, A New Earth p. 23

"And when a man sees that the God in himself is the same God in all that is, he hurts not himself by hurting others: then he goes indeed to the highest path."
Bhagavad Gita 13: 28

Unconditional Love - and a Flow of Thoughts

Last night I had continual dreams about unconditional love. This morning I decided to start to put some thoughts down about this. I let the stream of ideas flow and captured it in this blog. It may not make much sense to others. The point is to get to the bottom of things. To get a simple description of what we are doing here. A refinement of ideas to get the point.

Recently one of our children experienced the prejudices of the world. They made a choice to "experience", which created a cascade of events that had them questioning themselves. It´s a convoluted soap opera kind of thing, and really kind of funny how other people feel they have a right, based on religious or cultural influences, to impose their beliefs, issues or prejudices on others.

The other day I posted a blog with 10 items, a short list, of things that I have learned that have moved me toward a simple straightforward realization of how to live in harmony and balance.

As Tom and I discussed, I know it is not the simplest.

I know that the message somehow comes down to love. But not that it either.

Love as most people believe is totally wrong. We place conditions on our love. If you do this, I will love you. Maybe not in words but in deeds.

We really don´t understand love. It is not anyone´s fault. Fault finding always has to go back to blaming Source and that is ridiculous. Things have just come around this way.

This morning I thought. What if God shut off the love for even an instant. The whole cosmos would likely start to wobble and then fly apart. Who knows.

And it is not just love, because there has to be some rules that govern. What are those rules, at their most simplest form.

And why have we gotten so lost, so incapable of expressing the love that is exibited in nature, by the sun, by the trees? They have no expectations. And what is the purpose of us going through this process of having this "skewed love"? It does serve some grand purpose. Is it simply a really involved process of us learning about "pure love"? If we didn´t experience like this would we not "really get it"?

I want to know the answers to these questions. I know I am so close to an understanding, that at least will bide my time in this context, of this world, this "reality".

But so many of these ideas lie just beyond my mental grasp today.

Here are thoughts on the basis:

un-conditional love
laws that hold the universe together
is it impossible for my mind to grasp?
does it have something to do with it being more of a feeling place?
How can I bring myself around to move toward this true unconditional love?

I know it relates to the Golden Law, but there is a catch there, it isn´t for selfish ends.
Is it a matter of expressing the Divine nature of our basic make-up, even at the atomic level?

The atoms do their job, they don´t expect anything in return. We don´t have to "pay them back" - but we do have to provide the basis building blocks for their sustenance? Or do we? Is this all a "thought reality".

What about the people who are called "breatharians", or the guy who supposed lives on sunshine?

Why have we created the macro systems to be so skewed? We "supposedly" have to pay for everything? Why did we make it like this? What is the lesson? As we become aware of this as not being the "Truth", it doesn´t have to be this way, how do we extract ourselves from the "system"? Are we supposed to revolt? Are we supposed to act like it doesn´t exist? Are we supposed to pretend? Or is it really an illusion, and as soon as we really understand and see it for what it is, will it dissolve? But every day the sense reality bombards us with "survival".

What is that about "survival"? The truth is, at our most basic levels, and in the most profoundest ways we are being supported in ways that we can´t comprehend.

What is it that I have to do to cross this bridge of understanding? I want to have clarity on this. I want to share an understanding with others.

Is it related to what Desmond has realized "That we are physical Spirit"?

Does it have something to do with "Truth"?

Is it connected to this deep set "feeling" of separation from Source? - even though 99.9% of the evidence shows us that we are swimming in the sea of support - eternally connected to whatever created and sustains all of this that we experience.

- Experience- Spirit- physical- feelings- thoughts- love, but not only love, there must be something else, or is it just that we have confused, misinterpreted what Love is. - nature shows us- the stars, and cosmos show us- our molecules and organs show us- why has our mind gotten so confused, there is a purpose to this process?

It is like I have stated before that we had to go far down to the oposite end of the scale, or spectrum, to come bouncing back with momentum, in order that we would really get the message - to really feel it?

Do we ever really understand anything until we "feel" it?

Well I took a break for breakfast. And discussed these ideas with my wife. . .

We are really silly creatures. We give up the relationships with the ones we love because we cannot understand what motivates the other. Trying to press our beliefs on them, using all kinds of emotionally charged methods. It´s really a silly game. But the ones who tend to play it the most don´t even realize they are playing a game. They think it is real.

I had a realization as I washed the dishes. The One, God, Source just wants to return the love back. If we can find amplifiers in our relations with other people all the better. Our job is to clear the channel. A simple analogy of electricity works very well. Wires cause resistance. The electricity cannot flow without the two poles. We are, through our thoughts and experiences to make the least resistant means of returning the love energy back to Source.

Ironically, our thoughts, beliefs and errant feelings are the actual resistance, but we have to use our thinking to discover the resistance, and then remove them. Now our feelings are actually the program that tells us the level of resistance that is taking place. But most of us didn´t know that. But now we are awakening to the fact.

I also realized it is like AC current - when we are in a relationship the flow of energy goes back and forth. On and off. 1´s and 0´s, like computers. Like waves in the ocean. Like our molecules zapping back and forth from this universe to the void, or another universe.

We can be individual amplifiers too. We have a dual aspect to ourselves too.

Hmmm, well. This was a pretty long blog for today. I think I will give it a rest.
All the best,Andy

I don´t know a title

April 10, 2010

This morning in my dreams I saw the Mandala. The same one in a sense that I had created for my work. But instead of seeing a nuclear reaction which is expanding out I realized that the Mandala also represents the World – and that I have been running around the wheel for 50 years.

In a way I may have been looking for God, but it has, without real commitment, at least consciously, been a search for the truth. In my dream state awareness I was taken back to the realization I had the other day “they were right” – meaning all of the obnoxious people I have met in my life that have been trying to convince me about “Jesus”, and him saving my soul, and his dying for my sins, etc. Although, I am not sure all of them really know the truth – only God knows.

I guess it is the approach for them to bring me home that has always had me resistant, and the “apparent” gist of their message that I had to somehow go through Jesus to get to God. Something that I have always inherently known, that there cannot be only one path to God through another being. Now, I am pretty sure I have figured out what Jesus was teaching us about the one path.

But in my sleep today I realized I have been running around the wheel of life, and then taking different spokes of the wheel to find this “truth”. I don´t know how
many spokes are on the wheel, there are many. But as I have ventured down each one, I have discovered that on the way to God, Jesus always shows up. And it is not for the reasons that I have been disagreeable. I had been prejudiced, resistant to the messengers of the messenger. The Son of God. I have always lived the best way I knew how by the teachings of Jesus. The Golden Rule has been with me ever since I was a little boy. My mother brought that one home to my heart.

Now, as I have read innumerable books from many sources and they have all led to the same conclusion. I have now accepted that Jesus is all of what he has been claimed to be. But so often the secrets can be best hidden right in front of our eyes. This is because we really don´t see.

It is interesting how this combination of the personal work I am doing now seems to be blending in a very unique way to give me multiple validations of the other sources. I have read many books, and someday I will post these, but right now I am doing A Course in Miracles and listening to Wayne Dyers “Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life” interpretation of the Tao de Ching (both are excellent). But what is interesting, is today I am working on the ACiM lesson 30 which is “Above all else I want to see things differently” and the Tao de Ching was the 12th verse

12. Substance
Too much colour blinds the eye,
Too much music deafens the ear,
Too much taste dulls the palate,
Too much play maddens the mind,
Too much desire tears the heart.

In this manner the sage cares for people:
He provides for the belly, not for the senses;
He ignores abstraction and holds fast to substance.

Listening to the Tao today made me realize that we have gotten totally mesmerized with the “plastic wrapping” of life. The plastic wrapping in this case would be our labels and thoughts about the world, life and everything. We have been simply scratching the surface of who and what we are, what everything is, especially this thing that we have come to call God.

It´s as though I have been living 50 years simply scanning the world, pressing my labels, opinions, judgments, etc. on existence and then moved on to the next “subject”. Even though I have always considered myself to be open, inquisitive, and all those other words that I might use, I have never really given much thought to anything – even though I thought I have.

How has this change come to pass. Hmmm, I guess it is about another truth that I had learned long ago, but had not really done much of, even though I thought that I had. This is about looking into myself, really trying to understand who and what I am. Of course I have read many, many books. But again, it was like I was only touching the surface. I was simply scanning the horizon, observing the eye candy, then moving onto the next location. I never spent enough time to really look deep into just one thing. Of course I have been “trying”, I have been involved in “self help” stuff for almost 30 years. And I have earnestly prayed and worked on Andy. I´ve also been missing the point.

It is like the story of the man who finds the diamond field with tiny specs of diamonds on the surface, he spends his days picking up those tiny chips, not realizing the really huge diamonds are down below him, all he needs to do is start digging.

However, this analogy has another trap, one that is embedded in all of this discussion. And that has to do with the material world and with Spirit. We have essentially become addicted to the sense experience - material existence. So mesmerized with the experience of looking through our eyes, touching, hearing, smelling, tasting, that we have missed by far the biggest most important part of why we are here. This has to do with the label we have given for “spirit” and “consciousness”. The place, or non-place where all this stuff emerges. And I suspect that I am going to find just below the surface that this is where God is going to reveal some more of the truth.

As I sit here and type these words, I might just as well have spent my whole life looking at one of Jesus´s teachings and trying to understand that. Or to just sit by the river as the Buddha did. Or to just spend a year contemplating a flower. Because now I see that all spokes on the wheel lead back to the source, the hub. And, as the Tao from yesterday revealed, in the center of a wheel is a hole – apparently, empty space. And if I just would have spent more time getting past all of the self constructed beliefs, I might have arrived where I am today much sooner.

But that is another trap, lamenting, regretting, or feeling guilty for time past. The fact of the matter is it has taken what it has taken for me to get here. And it is the perfect place to be, because I have so much experience and knowledge to compare against.

“Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these.” John 14: 12

“It is the father, living in me who is doing his work.” John 14: 10

Poems and The Truth

Poems from April 9, 2010-03-10

The Message

waiting . . .
waiting . . .
waiting . . .

waiting . . .
waiting . . .
hmmm

We Know

Let´s stop fooling ourselves
we know what we are doing

No Title

This voice in my head
I can´t hear it
It´s not you or me
But it’s the One
I need to listen
I know it´s there
It´s the key to my salvation

New Light

Shades of antiquity
Shelter our thoughts
Chaining us to shadowy reflections
of life at another time
Each day new light shines

The Truth

Why does the truth scare us so much? It is the only thing that exists. It is unavoidable. Undeniable. It is going to get us in the end. So why resist?

Ultimately the true truth is unknowable. Because it is One with God. And yet our only task, ultimately is to seek the truth, accept the truth and be the truth as we understand it. In fact, that is what is always happening any way. But we don´t have to live an ignorant truth. We can seek. That is the most sublime and fulfilling task that we can pursue, accomplish. The truth is Love. And then it is not. But to know the truth of Love as Jesus taught, or even a small portion, is to glimpse the Divine unknowable. The truth is relative, and it is not. The truth is achievable and it is not. For once we have reached the truth, there will be a new truth, and this process goes on into infinity. At least until the day when we emerge, or re-merge with our Source, Our God, the One.

It is the longest journey we can ever take. And yet is closer than the smallest atom. Because we are immersed in the truth. But we will not know the truth as I share these words on this page. Words never explain any more than to be a guide. A roadmap. And the experience becomes itself in process, and from that we have an opportunity to experience the truth, in relative terms.

But to be mindful of this, to be conscious is the most wonderous experience. Because then we can drop all of our worries, woes, plans, intrigues and embarrassments and just tell it like it is. We can just tell people what happened, what is happening, or how we see it, honestly.

True freedom, wonder, glory, adventure emerge from the sincere attempt. But we cannot depend on our mind to guide us in this. We must also be wanting to open a channel to our heart. Because as I have pursued this process, only recently becoming conscious that I should align myself with the pursuit of truth, have I really validated this sense that the path to truth is through my own heart. The truth for me today, is that there is only one path to God, and I believe that Jesus was and is trying to convince me of this, and that path is through my own heart. And each other person´s path is through their hearts.
